Export Control
Assistance for the permit application process to export products that are subject to Canadian export control regulations.
iS5 Communications products contain encryption technologies that may be subject to Canadian export control regulations.
Export Control Regulation of Encryption Technology
As with all Canadian exports of certain encryption technologies, the Government of Canada may require permits in order for certain iS5 Communications products to be exported.
Controlled Products
The following products are controlled and require permits: iDS6, iDS6P, iES12G, iES20GF, iES22GF, iES26GF, iES28GF, iES28TG. iRBX6GF, iSG18GFP, RAPTOR, MicroRAPTOR, iDS3, and iTS12GP.
End-User Statements
To assist in the permit application process for the export of products containing such technologies, the Government of Canada may require that an “End User Statement” be provided from customers utilizing this technology. This will be submitted to Canadian export control officials when the application for a permit is given to them to assure the government that the exports from Canada will not be diverted to illegitimate end-uses.
Prohibited Exports
In addition, these same regulations may prohibit any exports from Canada to a small number of countries unless authorized by an export permit issued by the Canadian government.
