Our Vision

To be first to market, provide end-to-end solutions, and to be constant innovators in the products and services we provide.

Our Mission

  • Increasing responsiveness in everything we do
  • Reliability in everything we do
  • Quality in everything we do

OUR NAME TELLS YOU JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

When our founder Clive Dias set out to find a name for his latest venture, he wrote down what he saw as the key elements of the business.

Systems

Reliable, secure, and robust communication products designed for OT.

Services

Comprehensive training, maintenance, and commissioning.

Solutions

Secure end-to-end solutions for customers.

Security

Products that are secure from cyber-attacks.

Support

Best-in-class support for our customers.

PUTTING IT ALL IN OUR NAME

Clive quickly noticed that all the elements started with an ‘S’ and there were 5 of them. Coming from a background in Operations and Lean Manufacturing, the Five S’s (aka Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, and Shitsuke) – Japanese terms used as quality tools – stood out to Clive.

BUT ‘5S’ DIDN’T QUITE WORK…

So he flipped it to S5, added the ‘i’ as a nod to Steve Jobs, and also to signify that the elements were ‘intelligent’ – as in ‘intelligent systems’, ‘intelligent services’, and so on. The last part, Communications, was relatively easy because, in Clive’s words:

“That’s what we do and that’s what we are great at.”

Andrew Spurgeon, Manager, Product Management

iS5 provides a solid, hardened product that meets my utilities needs for a very competitive price. Features such as 1000BaseT Ethernet, fiber optic uplink options, POE, secure protocols for administration, standards-based management and solid user interface provide excellent value for the money. So far, all the units have been working perfectly with no issues, some of them have been in place for over a year.
