As a Senior Hardware Engineer at our Company, you will be responsible for hardware design, release and launch of complete product lines. You will be part of the team that creates and executes industry leading communication devices in terms of innovation, security, and performance. You will utilize your expertise in the design and development of products as you work with a lean and agile team of the best hardware and software engineers in the industry.

Duties:

  • Responsible for all phases of hardware design and development from concept to production release including
  • Inspecting and providing design support during the manufacturing of telecommunications hardware.
  • Researching, designing, and developing telecommunications hardware such as electronic circuits and developing schematics.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with consultants, vendors and suppliers such as Layout engineer, PCB fabrication and assembly house.
  • Board bring-up, system and board level testing and characterization.
  • Analyzing user requirements and designing and developing system architecture and specifications while working with software, mechanical, QA and production teams to ensure high quality.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with PCBAs.
  • Developing and conducting design verification and prototype bench tests of PCBA’s.
  • Solving certification and compliance issues.
  • Writing design specifications, test plans and reports.
  • Handling Component end of life/obsolescence, cost reduction and replacement activities.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in electrical/electronic engineering or related field is required.
  • 5+ Years of experience in board-level design, including working on concept/ideation, component selection, schematic capture, design verification and support.
  • Good understanding of hardware design process and flow.
  • Experience in designing multilayer complex boards.
  • Experience designing systems with DDR3, PCIe, I2C, SPI, UART.
  • Experience designing CPU based systems using x86 or ARM based chipsets.
  • Understanding of and experience in high-speed digital design and high-speed signal layout constraints.
  • Experience with OrCAD Design Capture, Allegro PCB viewer or similar CAD application software.
  • Experience with hardware debugging tools, such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and logic analyzers.
  • Experience in resolving issues during product compliance testing – EMI/EMC
  • Knowledge of C/C++ programming languages
