Use the PoE Global Configuration dialog box to enable PoE on the switch, configure the maximum power draw and the detection mode of the PoE devices.

| Screen Objective | This screen allows the user to configure the global settings of PoE. |

| Global Status | Enable/Disable the PoE ports across the entire switch. |
| Main Power | This is the total available power provided by the external PoE power supply. It is manually entered by the user and should be a value between 100 and 6000 (Watts). |
| Detect Mode | Legacy or Strict. This determines how a PoE device is discovered by the switch. |
